Shipping and Returns and Refunds
SHIPPING
- Right after you’ve placed your order, you will receive a confirmation email. Please note that once your order is confirmed by email/SMS, we cannot change or cancel your order.
- When we’ve packaged your order and it leaves our warehouse, we notify you by email and give you the tracking number.
- We give the estimated time of delivery on the shipping page. However, these are indicative and depend on our shipping partner*.
- The delivery times are subject to location, distance and our logistics partners. We are not liable for any delays in delivery by the courier company/postal authorities but will help you track down a package through our partner courier services.
- Cash on Delivery option is not a trial option and payment is necessary before accepting the order. Any refusal of COD orders will result in deactivation of the COD option for future orders.
- In some pin codes, our shipping partners do not support COD and hence the option might be unavailable. For any queries, please contact our customer care at contact@indian-artisans.com
- Orders placed in India are catered by our safe and reliable courier partner, Shiprocket, which has partnered with trusted courier companies such as Fedex, Delhivery, Ecom Express, BlueDart etc.
- We are bound in coverage by their reach even though we use some of India’s largest logistics companies for shipping. In case your address is in a location not served by them we would contact you to find an alternative solution to make your products reach you.
- An order will be presumed as CANCELLED if there have been 2 failed attempts to deliver the parcel by our delivery partner.

RETURNS & REFUNDS
- We pack our products with a lot of care and love so that it reaches our customers safely. In the unlikely event that your merchandise arrives damaged, please send us a photo of the damaged product and box within 24 hours of receiving your order. We will replace (not exchange) the same product immediately and there are no additional shipping charges that you would need to pay.
- As lovely as our products maybe, we understand that sometimes they do not fit in your home as expected. For such instances, we provide returns as a service for a fee (return shipping). There are 2 ways of providing returns. If the customer is self shipping, there will be no pickup. If the pickup is done by Indian Artisans’ shipping partner, then the return fee structure is as below.
- For orders below Rs 2500 -> pickup charge is Rs 250
- For orders above Rs 2500 -> pickup charge is 10% of the order total
- We would require the returned items to have their original packing. The merchandise must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. We would also require all original papers to be returned with the product.
- Food serving products, ceramics, cutlery and other products which are fragile (for e.g., made of glass or ceramic or mirror) are not eligible for returns.
- Handicrafts and natural materials with slight color and texture differences are not eligible for returns.
- Small bubbles on ceramic are not considered a defect.
- Items bought on sale are not eligible for returns
- Once a piece is exchanged, it cannot be exchanged again.
- Our website dimensions are generally very accurate. However, up to 10% or 2cm variance (whichever is higher) from the stated dimensions is not considered a defect.
- Indian Artisans reserves the right to cancel/postpone any order as per its own discretion or owing to any unforeseen circumstance. In such a case, we will provide you with an approximate date when we can make the product available to you. The customer has the right to cancel the order in this situation. .
- The customer cannot cancel the order once placed. If there is non-acceptance of an order at the doorstep, it will be treated as a return. For COD orders, Indian Artisans reserves the right to deny future orders. In case of prepaid orders, Indian Artisans is not liable to refund the amount of the order if the order is refused or returned at doorstep and the customer will be charged the return fee and the return shipping fee. Any re-delivery requests will be chargeable additionally and will include two way shipping and re-packing costs.

- Return requests have to be approved before processing. The Indian Artisans care team must receive and approve your return request by email. Once your request is received, it may take a few days for the team to get back with or without an approval.
- Once returns are received by us and clear our quality checks, your amount due will be added to the Wallet in your account with us. The Wallet amount can be redeemed in your next purchase. Any onward and return shipping as applicable will be deducted from the total amount. The Wallet amount can be used anytime without any limitations.
- We aim to process all disputes very amicably. This is because we want the best for you home. In case there are any disputes which are not resolved despite out best efforts, the jurisdiction for the disputes shall be Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh), India.
